In depth

Verdict

Don Camillo was a very easy winner of a 1m2f maiden here in March, though the handicapper may have to reassess his rating after tonight as the three horses he beat have all been well beaten subsequently. He makes his handicap debut against a useful rival in HARDSTONE, who progressed nicely last season and has every chance of doing so again. He's hasn't run since scoring over the course and distance in November but, if fit enough, can surprise the likely favourite. Eighteen Summers isn't at his best on soft ground so his last two runs should be ignored and he's on the same mark as when last successful while a good run is anticipated from Cardinal Palace, who has been competing at a high level over hurdles.
