Verdict

IDEAL GUEST (NAP) has struck a rich seam of form, landing two all-the-way successes over this trip and on the forecast quick ground. Both wins came at Brighton, which suggests the Margarson gelding may prove at home here too. He concedes plenty of weight as a consequence of his recent progression but looks one to stay with for the time being. City Vaults is his most interesting opponent, making this handicap bow after showing little in three maiden/novice starts. However, he's only been allotted an opening mark of 52 and arrives on the back of both a gelding operation and wind surgery. He is one to note. Edinson Kevani and Volenti have shown very little this term and Voodoo Ray has proved most disappointing since returning from a break after being gelded.
