Verdict

Roger Charlton's Baringo looks to hold every chance of supplementing his recent Brighton success and is the TEAMtalk selection in a race that should not take a great deal of winning. While it is always dangerous to rule out a Martin Pipe-trained runner Red Magic has shown very few signs of encouragement and cannot be backed with confidence. A similar comment would also apply to Persian King, while Royal Progidy has done little since winning what was probably a poor maiden on the all-weather earlier in the season. It is slightly off-putting that Flying Spirit has not been seen since his success at Nottingham in June and Countess Miletrian looked exposed off her current mark when well held at Brighton last time.
