Verdict

Full Spate can put his younger rivals in their place, including stablemate Coranglais and Sewmuch Character. Milton Bradley has a strong hand here with two of the fancied contenders, but with in-form Darryll Holland on board Full Spate, the nine-year-old gets the vote. The hold-up performer returned to the winner's enclosure when beating a big field at Haydock six days ago and off his current mark, can strike while the iron is hot. Stablemate Coranglais gained his first success for the yard at Bath in July, but that was over five furlongs and there has to be a doubt about his ability to score over today's trip in the ground, given the trainer's remark after his latest success that he is definitely a sprinter. Sewmuch Character has been threatening to come good and is out to get the losses back after a disappointing performance at Pontefract. It is hard to enthuse over him on that latest effort though and he is worth taking on, and we shall do so with Full Spate.
