Not a vintage handicap hurdle and Hereditary is taken to have the edge over Chery D'Or, Executive Paddy and Sir Laughalot. The selection is in decent form having won over course and distance in December before just failing to follow up last time. With cut in the ground once more he will enjoy himself here and with doubts over all the others we will side with him. Chery D'Or won a weak Wincanton contest last time where a slow pace makes the form questionable at best. Even so, he could do little more than win and in a race where few stand out off the page he is likely to go well. Executive Paddy strung together three wins in November including one here, but he has been out of sorts both over hurdles and on the level since then and looks in the grip of the assessor at present. Of the others Sir Laughalot comes from a yard sending out some big priced winners at present. However, Hereditary is in good nick and is taken to underline that here.
