Verdict
Romany Dream looks the one to beat here, with Native Daisy and Sweet Minuet looking to be the biggest dangers. The selection has plenty of chasing experience and finally came good in a maiden chase here last time. Ok, that form is not world-beating, but it is enough to give her serious claims today and, accordingly, she gets the call. The best of Hi Lily's chasing form give her a chance, although recent efforts have been uninspiring. Native Daisy won at Uttoxeter from a mark of 79 in August, which gives her claims in this company. Prayerful and Barton May are making their chasing debuts which, on balance possibly makes them worth taking on unless the betting says something a lot different, while Takshina, despite being from a good stable and having youth on her side, needs to improve over the larger obstacles to feature. Sweet Minuet showed that she retained plenty of ability when finishing second on her first run since May 2003, and a repeat of that type of effort puts her firmly in the picture but, as we say, the vote goes to Romany Dream.
