Verdict
Kaparolo and Pequenita hold strong claims in a weak event, but we will side with Majlis. This versatile seven-year-old was successful on the all-weather last year and put up a decent effort when returning to hurdling last time. He battled on well to finish second behind Fait Le Jojo at Plumpton last time and although not the force of old, should be up to winning this event. Kaparolo hails from a top yard but finished behind the selection last time and shouldn't really reverse that form on only slightly better terms. A bigger threat may come from Pequenita who hit form at this time last year, winning novice events at Ayr and Folkestone. He did disappoint a little afterwards, but at his best would be easily capable of taking a hand in the finish. Lunar Lord may prove best of the others but Majlis does have solid claims here and gets the vote.
