Verdict

Peter Bowen has brought out marked improvement in Qabas, who is selected to take this contest from Premier Estate and Palouse. Qabas stated the new campaign with a smooth victory in a weak event at Market Rasen. He defied a nine pound rise in better company next time and looks one to follow in this sort of mood. Premier Estate hasn't raced since January when comfortably landing a similar event, if he is fit following his long holiday he should figure in the finish. Palouse reverts to hurdles following an excellent spell over fences and should make his presence felt. Island Storm hails from a top yard and also warrants respect, but Qabas is the most progressive in the field and is fully expected to land the hat-trick.
