Verdict
The shortlist here contains La Grande Villez, Lady Roania and Launceston, with the vote going to La Grande Villez. Alan King's French import, La Grande Villez would not have to be out of the ordinary to land division two of the maiden hurdle and, to be fair, she has shown enough in France to be considered a player here today anyway. Lady Roania's Ludlow bumper win brings her right into the equation, while Launceston showed some promise when second here in a bumper last time. Valley Hall showed promise too when second to Supreme Cara here on her debut and she is one to seriously consider, but She's Humble has yet to build on her Worcester bumper win. Overall, though, the vote goes to La Grande Villez.
