Verdict
Dusky Lord gets the vote here ahead of Fait le Jojo and Fenix. Kawagino's mark owes as much to his Champion Hurdle seventh to Brave Inca, but it seems to flatter him. A good second at Ascot last time brings Fait le Jojo right into things, as does Dusky Lord's battling Sandown win, even though he has been raised seven pounds as a consequence. Gods Token proved progressive last season and can still be competitive from his current rating, although he lacks a run this season. A repeat of his best form of the last 12 months would make Fenix a major player, but Hawadeth will need to better his recent course and distance claiming win if he is to score. Finally, with Ichi Beau running from well out of the weights, we return to the selection, which is Dusky Lord.
