Verdict
GALLAGHER can take a successful step out of maiden company and consign Prolific and Waffle to minor roles. Unusually for a newcomer from the yard, the selection was very well supported at Newbury only to prove no match for the smart Orizaba and finish amongst the also rans in midfield. There was no mistake at Chepstow though as he ran out a very impressive winner; market support and his big race entries suggest that he's the real deal and he can prove it here. Prolific has already contested two Group races and has sound claims but does have to put a slightly disappointing run at Newmarket behind him. His conqueror that day, Classic Blade, had finished a long way behind Waffle in a Leicester maiden in April and the Noseda runner has to be a leading fancy with the yard's juveniles carrying all before them at present. Total Gallery, Rileyskeepingfaith and Saxford are others that could be thrown into the mix but we'll be taking Gallagher to score.
