Verdict

Sir Michael Stoute won this with the three-year-old Hi Calypso in 2007 and his ESTIMATE is a very progressive filly who looked a potential Cup winner when slamming her rivals in the Queens Vase. This drop in trip shouldn't be a problem as she easily won her maiden over 1m4f at Salisbury earlier and was in the lead at the distance at Royal Ascot. With further improvement likely she can take this though Midnight Soprano is a worthy challenger. The Irish raider beat Saddler's Rock at Leopardstown to complete a magnificent five-timer and it was no disgrace to be beaten by the very promising Hartani in the Group 3 Curragh Cup last time. Hazel Lavery made major progress to land a Listed contest at Newmarket in the style of a potentially useful stayer while yet another progressive type, Hawaafez, won a Listed contest at Newbury easily and is just starting to show her true ability.
