Verdict

This has been run seven times and no favourite has won so far but two 25/1 chances have. Once again it's a very tricky finale but SILVER LIME is handed the vote after a very good effort over 1m1f here in May, his first start since September. Clon Brulee has won a couple of minor handicaps and a 9lb rise for his Chester victory looks harsh but Harlestone Wood looks a threat as he led at this trip until the final strides when caught by Guarantee over 1m4f at Newbury and, as that was only his third start, further progress looks guaranteed. Marshgate Lane should win more races though faces a stiff task on his handicap debut but fellow Newmarket maiden winner Zamdy Man was so impressive that he's expected to get into the mix despite his high rating. Maria's Choice and Cresta Star are others to note in a tough race to call.
