No favourite has won this in the last ten years but Richard Hannon landed the spoils last year, though the winner was drawn two and today's representatives, Shamaal Nibras and Campanology, have high draws and are overlooked. STIRRING BALLAD won well at Sandown last week, scoring at the generous odds of 9/1. She is very much on the upgrade and enjoys coming through horses to lead close home so a big field today can help her complete the hat-trick. My Sharona has the inside berth and is just 4lb higher than her successful run at Newbury. She's in such good form that it will be a surprise if she isn't thereabouts while Apostle couldn't have gone much closer behind Redvers at Ascot and is another to consider. Dutch Rose continues in tremendous form and a 7lb rise for her fourth success in five runs at York shouldn't be enough to prevent another good run while the lightly-raced Jake's Destiny can reward each-way support as he just found a mile on heavy ground too much at Newmarket last time.
