Verdict
A number of these hold solid claims but Cummiskey dropped a significant hint that his turn is not too far away at Warwick on Monday and he gets the vote over Cyclical, who won an ordinary maiden on his debut and needs to find a little more over this extra furlong to follow up here. Peeptoe also has experience of a sixth furlong but looks harshly assessed off a mark of 75 for his handicap debut and could struggle in this company. Cree, by way of contrast, has been given a real chance of causing an upset at the weights and the son of Indian Ridge is one to monitor closely in the betting. Cyclical is from the same family as Soar and looks sure to have his supporters again today. However, as the lack of fancy entries underlines, he has taken a fair bit of time to come to hand and this season is being viewed as a learning curve for him. But he shaped up nicely when scoring at Hamilton and the son of Pivotal looks sure to benefit from the experience. He will be a tough nut to crack this afternoon. Nevertheless, Cummiskey makes more appeal at the likely prices as he looks certain to relish the prevailing fast ground. Jamie Osborne's charge had a few decent types in behind him on his latest start and can gain some compensation after being beaten by the draw at Warwick.
