In depth
Verdict
A tough race to get involved with from a punting perspective can go to Lord Chamberlain, who is holding his form well and can confirm his superiority over Cormorant Wharf on these terms. Phred and the in-form Barton Sands are just a couple of the rest that will not make life easy for the selection and either will be of interest if supported. Jackie Kiely is also worth monitoring at longer odds, as he has bits and pieces of solid form that give him solid each-way prospects at this level. However, Lord Chamberlain has been a grand servant to all concerned with him over the years and has a wily old head on his shoulders. Simon Walker has earned his fair share of win and place money this season and, as he has already retained his Bollinger Champagne/Daily Telegraph Amateur riders title, Lord Chamberlain has the ideal partner for a race like this.
