Verdict
KING’S ADVICE (NAP) continues to defy the handicapper and has been raised only 3lb after landing a five-timer with last month’s victory at Ripon. He’s won over this longer trip before and Mark Johnston’s charge is worth sticking with until beaten. He’s preferred to stablemate Hochfeld but Amazing Red could go well back in handicap company with an apprentice’s allowance in his favour. Blue Laureate finished runner-up at Ascot recently but this is tougher and What A Welcome is also upped in class while Sovereign Duke was progressing nicely until something went amiss in last summers Queen’s Vase and he’s been gelded since.
