In depth

Verdict

ISOTOPE was well beaten on his only start over hurdles at Galway in October but has looked a much improved performer on the Flat, landing a Roscommon handicap in impressive fashion a fortnight ago. He gets the vote though Swelltime, runner-up in a Tipperary maiden on his hurdling bow, very nearly beat the in-form Allora Yeats on the Flat at the Curragh. Oak Park is 0-16 but has been taken on strong company over timber while Pepperoni Pete wasn't far behind Swelltime at Tipperary and will almost certainly improve. Dual Flat winner Royal Aide caught the eye on just his third start over timber at Limerick and is another to consider.
