In depth

Verdict

Celtic Heroine looks the pick in this contest with Lilli Marlane, Lyford Lass and Odabella holding obvious claims.Celtic Heroine looks a useful sort and while unproven on the surface, she is a progeny of Hernando and as he was more than capable of handling it, we believe that he will have passed those abilities to his daughter. Lilli Marlane failed to land a gamble at Ascot when finishing second to Retirement. Compensation isn't too far away and this does look to be a weaker race on the face of it. Lyford Lass made all to took a weak maiden at Newcastle and will need to improve to take this. Odabella is a daughter of Selkirk and takes her spin on a soft surface. Of the remainder, Dispol Foxtrot is proven on the surface and has at least won here in the past. Celtic Heroine gets the nod.
