      Verdict

A competitive sprint with last year’s winner George Bowen back for more in what looks a tougher renewal. LAUGH A MINUTE has been competing in Pattern and conditions races and makes his handicap debut today after finding Invincible Army, rated 115, too good in a Group 3 at Newcastle. A similar effort should see him go close. Summerghand also ran well in a conditions race last time and finished in front of Lake Volta when fifth in the Wokingham before that while Staxton is upped 5lb for winning at Newcastle with Dalton and Air Raid behind though is still preferred to stablemate Golden Apollo. Admirality has been running well over 7f but Yousini has no easy task taking on older sprinters today.
