Verdict

DETECTIVE isn’t the easiest of rides but Paul Mulrennan appears to get on well with Dianne Sayer’s gelding and he may be capable of persuading him to go through the gears. Bashful has undergone a recent wind surgery and he was to run out an easy winner at Newcastle on his latest start. Shine On Brendan has form with give underfoot so Jim Goldie’s gelding is respected on his bid to follow up a victory at Musselburgh a fortnight ago. Havana Party was a beaten favourite last month and attempts to atone for that reverse.
