        Verdict

        Iain Jardine’s stable have a decent record in this race so SMART LASS is of interest if she can take advantage of the handicapper’s decision to drop her down the weights. Spanish Hustle may have started sketchily here in June but he finished tremendously to scoop the prize. Lochnaver was to win unchallenged here in June but it's entirely possible that a subsequent flop was down to that race being a fourth inside a three-week period. The Navigator makes a rare return to the Flat and a market check appears to be prudent.
