Verdict

Cartography has the class to prevail over the likes of One Putra, Ruby Rocket and Prince Charming. Cartography was considered Group class when trained by Michael Jarvis, but has yet to open his account for the boys in blue. However, he has performed with credit on the odd occasion, notably when third in last year's Jersey Stakes and a head second to Pastoral Pursuits in Listed company at Newbury. He patently needed his first run of the current campaign when last but one at Doncaster on rain-softened ground, but shaped much better than his finishing position suggests, and if Frankie can settle the son of Zafonic in the lead here, he can hang on this time. One Putra was a beaten favourite at Epsom when failing to get involved behind Texas Gold, but that may have been just a blip, and he will no doubt try and take the selection on for the lead. Ruby Rocket has yet to recapture last season's good form and may need it softer anyway, and Prince Charming needs to step up on what he has achieved so far but the stable is in good order at present. For the winner we return to Cartography.
