In depth

Verdict

This represents a good chance for Borouj to earn some winning brackets, with his main dangers reckoned to be Art Elegant and Onyergo. Much as the selection disappointed at Folkestone last time, the form of his second to Pugilist at Newbury two runs ago gives him outstanding claims in a largely modest race. Art Elegant's last three runs have all been respectable from a low-60s point of view, so he is afforded some thought, while Onyergo had looked better in maidens before being soundly beaten on his handicap debut. The handicapper rates him eight pounds pounds better than Art Elegant, though, and just two better than Fossgate, although the latter has not raced since April. With the other pair having a lot to find on official assessments, we return to the choice, which is Borouj.
