In depth

Verdict

A tight little contest but LORD ABAMA is less exposed than his rivals with just half a dozen starts in three seasons, but has twice gone close since joining Michael Dods and can go one better than a recent neck second at Carlisle. There really ought to be more to come from him and he's taken to shed his maiden tag off an unchanged mark. Billy Loughnane will take a useful 3lb off the welter burden of Swiss Ace who concedes plenty of weight all round. He's been in good form the last twice but the drop to 6f is a question mark. Gannon Glory and Thaki are usually on the premises but Yaaser looks a likelier threat as he's tumbled down the handicap since September before looking back in decent form with a respectable third placing at Ayr
