Verdict

Last year’s winner Emaraaty Ana clearly found 5f too sharp when third behind Highfield Princess in the Nunthorpe at York but still finished ahead of Khaadem, though he has almost three lengths to find with NAVAL CROWN on their run in the July Cup. The Godolphin sprinter was behind Minzaal in the Prix Maurice de Gheest at Deauville last month but did well to get as close he did from an outside draw and he’d earlier beaten Owen Burrows’ four-year-old when winning the Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot. Chil Chil was third in this last year and Art Power fifth with the latter not reappearing until two weeks ago at York when fourth behind the re-opposing Kinross over 7f with Rohaan unplaced. Brad The Brief is 2–2 this year and Go Bears Go enjoyed a morale-boosting victory in a Group 3 at the Curragh last month having finished second to Minzaal earlier at Newbury. Great Ambassador got going too late at Newmarket last week but this is significantly tougher.
