Verdict

Marie's Diamond placed in this grade at York two weeks ago and the second went close in a Group 2 subsequently. Brunch has had a break since disappointing at York but looks vulnerable again. Dark Shift boasts cracking form in handicaps but has something to prove at this level and Tacarib Bay has also been running in handicaps, though placed in the Horris Hill as a two-year-old and ran in the 2000 Guineas in the spring. BAYSIDE BOY upset the odds-on Reach For The Moon in the Champagne Stakes at Doncaster a year ago and it may be a similar case here with the latter being a beaten favourite again in both starts this campaign.
