In depth
Verdict
My Legal Eagle is still capable of a fair level of form at the age of 11 and has to be respected off his low weight but Let It Be has more solid claims on form and gets the vote ahead of Duroob. The last mentioned disappointed at York last time but has to be respected on earlier evidence on all types of ground, especially with the yard of Karl Burke in such good form. Red Forest would have chances on his best form but gave little sign for encouragement on his return, while Lake Wakatipu may do better back on a faster surface having been well held on the soft at Nottingham on his first start back on turf this term. The vote then goes to Let It Be, who stepped up on earlier form when a close fourth at Redcar last time and a reproduction of that effort may well suffice in a contest that might not take much winning.
