A poor turnout for this closing event bt David Elsworth looks to have found a good opportunity for his well-bred fill Sunday's Well to get off the mark. After a series of decent efforts including a good second at Sandown in June, Sunday's Well was understandably outclassed in the Ribblesdale Stakes at Royal Ascot but should feel more at home today against two rivals who on the face of it have proved disappointing on their sole outings. Michael Stoute's Golden Lariat was a well beaten third of four on his debut, looking very green and probably needs more time, a comment that applies equally to the other runner The Teuchter who showed only a modicum of ability on his debut at Newcastle a couple of weeks ago.
