      In depth

Azari and Michael's Mount were both engaged yesterday at Chester so this small field may be reduced further. Fibonacci finished five lengths behind Sharja Silk in the Queen’s Prize at Kempton and may struggle to reverse that form, despite a 5lb pull in the weights. JEDHI goes well on an easy surface and won over this trip at Nottingham in October. He hasn’t run since the following month but still looks to be on a decent mark so we’ll take a chance on his fitness.

Sharja Silk 9-4fav (8-7) Close up, headway to lead 10f out, headed 4f out, tracked winner, ridden and edged left over 1f out, ran on, 2nd of 11, 1 1/4l behind Eden Rose (8-9) at Kempton 2m hcp (2) pol in Apr.

Fibonacci 33-1 (8-8) Close up, ridden to chase leading pair 2f out, kept on same pace, 3rd of 11, 6 1/4l behind Eden Rose (8-9) at Kempton 2m hcp (2) pol in Apr.

Azari 12-1 (8-7) Soon led and clear, steadied pace and reduced advantage halfway, headed 2f out, ridden and no chance with winner from over 1f out, lost place inside final furlong, 3rd of 5, 6 3/4l behind Lucky Deal (8-13) at Chelmsford City 2m hcp (2) pol in Feb.

Jedhi 12-1 (8-0) Held up towards rear, took keen hold, headway over 6f out, led over 5f out, headed over 1f out, no extra final 100 yards, 6th of 10, 4 1/2l behind Lucky Deal (8-7) at Chelmsford City 1m 6f hcp (2) pol in Nov.

Royal Flag 33-1 (8-4) Held up in rear, never a factor, 8th of 12, 7 1/2l behind Handiwork (9-6) at Doncaster 2m hcp (4) gd in Apr.
