In depth
Verdict
Danehill Stroller is taken to get the better of Bollin Janet in a tricky handicap. They are kept on again today. Danehill Stroller has been raised three pounds for finishing a good second to Seafield Towers at Ripon recently, and is now fitted with cheekpieces for the first time, which might correct a tendency he showed at Ripon to hang. If so, he should go well. Bollin Janet beat Seafield Towers at Haydock on July 5 and, on literal form, she and Danehill Stroller are closely matched. Circuit Dancer has failed to win since scoring as a juvenile at Musselburgh. However, he's lightly raced but has a bit to find with Bollin Janet on Haydock form. Circuit Dancer also holds Drury Lane on Ripon form in June. The lightly raced Give Him Credit has been mainly campaigned at seven, a trip he won over at Catterick last year. This drop to seven is not guaranteed to suit although first-time blinkers might rev him up for the challenge. He wore a first-time visor last time and only weakened inside the final furlong over seven. Drury Lane is six pounds higher than for a blinkered-first-time win at Nottingham, but has disappointed in two blinkered runs since. They are kept on again today. Stoic Leader is racing off a five-pounds higher mark than for a Hamilton win on good to soft in May, although he is four pounds better off for the length-and-a-half he finished behind Danehill Stroller at Ripon on July 7. BA Highflyer was third in that contest and is now two pounds better off for the three-quarters-of-a-length he was beaten by Danehill Stroller. It's a tricky sort of race, but Danehill Stroller might just find the cheekpieces working the oracle.
