Verdict
Millbag gets the vote over Moss Vale and Boogie Street, with High Voltage best of the rest. Millbag looks one to follow this season, having captured the Listed Bovis Homes Pavilion Stakes at Ascot on his seasonal reappearance. That was on soft ground, but he has won on fast before, and a further inspection of his juvenile form reveals that he finished third to Peak To Creek in the Horris Hill at Newbury. All in all, he should take all the beating now that Mick Channon has discovered that six furlongs is definitely his trip. Moss Vale did not take long to open his account for the season, scoring in handicap company at Chester 17 days ago. A little bit more is needed here though, while Boogie Street's stamina will be stretched to the limit, although the way he plugged on when third in the Palace House stakes suggests that he should be in the shake-up. High Voltage and Rum Shot may also be found wanting at this level, with Millbag the class act and the one to beat.
