Verdict
Bryan McMahon's horses have tended to improve markedly for their first outing of the season, so it is far to expect that Lake Garda will step up considerably on what he showed over course and distance a fortnight ago, and he gets the vote over Foursquare and A Little Bit Yarie. The last mentioned ran well when third behind Four Amigos at Thirsk a week ago when having Elliot's Choice (fourth), Eastern Pearl (10th) and Mrs Spence (13th) behind. He has to be respected, along with Southwell winner Piccolo Prince, although Eric Alston's gelding may not appreciate the drop in trip to the minimum distance. The reappearing Foursquare has claims, if fit enough for his return, but preference is for Lake Garda, who should step up on his previous run this term.
