Verdict
Not much form to go on and, as ever in this type of event, the market will provide further clues but Daytime Girl is handed a tentative vote while Carriacou and Cranachan look best of the remainder to have raced previously. The Barry Hills-trained filly was unfancied for her Leicester debut earlier this month and ran as though in need of the experience. However, the daughter of Daylami still shaped with plenty of promise and is entitled to be much sharper on this occasion so, with the Leicester form having been franked since, she should go close at a fair price. Carriacou showed the benefit of her debut when a close runner-up on rain-softened ground at Newmarket in early August but hasn't been seen since and may just need the outing while Cranachan ran below expectations last time and now has something to prove. Henry Cecil introduces an interesting newcomer in the shape of Castagna who hails from a top lass family and any support could prove significant but Daytime Girl can make the most of her previous experience.
