Verdict
A longer trip may have been to blame for METHAG’s below-par effort last time at Uttoxeter. She was second over this course and distance earlier and is 2lb lower today. Misscarlett was a winner at Uttoxeter in June and second in a staying race on the all-weather when last seen so has claims. Sedgefield runner-up Lady Shanawell is worth another try over this trip and Island Mahee should be thereabouts again but West End Lady may be a couple of pounds too high on her reappearance and handicap debut.
