Verdict
Thyne Man has been found a suitable opportunity to get back to winning ways, and can beat Briar's Mist and Clever Fella. Thyne Man was a beaten favourite on his last start in hunter-chase company at Stratford in May when some sloppy jumping cost him dearly. The former Irish point-to-point winner is sure to have been well schooled since though, and with nothing else standing out here, he makes most appeal. Briar's Mist is another that could do with brushing up his jumping, but he meets nothing of the calibre of The Merry Mason who beat him at Wetherby recently and he should at least give a good account. Clever Fella has an absence to overcome but did show winning form between the flags so has some scope, while Arctic Lagoon showed a bit of ability over fences at Kelso recently and will be fitter than some of these. An uninspiring affair can go the way of Thyne Man.
