Verdict

Although a number of horses are of interest here, including Arctic Echo, Majestic Class, Italiano and Qualitair Pleasure, it is Polly Whitefoot who gets the call in the bumper. The Richard Fahey-trained mare came good at the second time of asking when scoring at Perth 18 days ago, and that win was clearly not unexpected as she was sent off as the 11/4 joint favourite. With her stable remaining in good form, she can go well again, despite having to shoulder her winner's penalty. Qualitair Prince has also won his bumper and is entitled to have his supporters, although he has not raced for 183 days and the bumper that he won has not worked out particularly well. Of the others, Black Torrington showed some promise on his debut, and the newcomers Black Echo, Majestic Class and Italiano should all be watched out for in the betting. Finally, even though Howard Johnson's stable is also in good form, Southbound has an absence to overcome, and with that in mind, we return to Polly Whitefoot who is our pick to follow up.
