Verdict

There are several long-standing maidens in this but Velasco finished just ahead of Something Golden and Tara Brooch when runner-up in a similar contest over track and trip earlier this month. DR SHIROCCO has gone back up the weights since his close third at Kelso but still gets the nod ahead of Perth second The Longest Day and Chepstow scorer Mr Hailstone.
