Verdict

Another really tough one to call and Culcabok is only a tentative choice to get the better of the penalised Ebinzayd and Lucky Duck, who both arrive her with a little more to do after winning modest races on the same day at Carlisle's latest meeting. Another Dude and Just Sal are others that have to be considered as live threats as they are both capable of figuring strongly in a race of this nature if they run anywhere near their recent form. However, Culcabock shaped as if he were returning to something like his best when chasing home the useful Mister Arjay at Hexham earlier in the month and he could represent the best value on offer as he hails from one of the less fashionable yards. The selection likes to be handy in his races and has shown a liking for making his rivals play catch up as things unfold - tactics which could be good enough to see Culcabok hold all comers if his stamina holds out on the run for the line. Ebinzayd has a bit to do on the terms of the race but appeals as the one to give Peter Montieth's charge the most to do.
