Verdict

A cracking contest for the track and now returned to something more like the test of stamina he loves MASTERY looks the one to beat. Last year's St Leger winner has had just three runs since, the more recent pair over patently inadequate trips. Although still short of his optimum, this is much more like it and he can outclass them. A fully firing Man Of Iron would be very interesting but he has stuttered this time and Age Of Reason, who has two wins at this trip, looks a more likely threat tonight. Surface and trip certainly suit Dansili Dancer, who has strong claims of picking up some prize money, while Kings Destiny has ticks in enough boxes to suggest that he too has frame claims.
