Verdict

CHEDDAR GEORGE could provide Richard Hughes with another welcome winner in what is an open handicap. Peter Chapple-Hyam's charge was partnered by the championship challenger when winning over course and distance earlier in the month and he is 3lb higher tonight. It would probably not do to take a literal interpretation of his subsequent Yarmouth form and now back up in trip and on this surface he can go in again. Abriachan is slipping in the weights and could give Paul Hanagan a good ride if handling this surface, while Final Drive is on a good mark and goes well here so support for him would be interesting. Almahaza has flopped on both tries at this track and appears better on the Fibresand.
