      Verdict

The vote here goes to Broke Road ahead of Travelling Band, The Local, Haditovski, Greensmith Lane and Batswing. It was a very good training performance from Heather Dalton to get Broke Road back to winning form at Wincanton following just one previous run back from a layoff. He has been raised eight pounds for that success but that might not be enough to hold him back. Travelling Band could yet be interesting in handicaps thus year, but maybe more with an eye to the future. The Local's winning run came to an end last time but, in first-time blinkers, do not rule out a good run. Haditovski has now dropped back to below a winning mark, so he too has to be considered, while Avalanche likes it here but is better known as a chaser. Greensmith Lane remains competitive from his current mark, so he should go well, and Batswing, back to winning form over fences last time, is interestingly handicapped back over hurdles. He could attract money, while Euro Bleu looked a bit more like his old self last time and My Galliano could run into a place if at his best. However, Broke Road is given the vote in the hope that he can build on his Wincanton success.
