Verdict

Red Georgie can get the better of Miko de Beauchene, with Porthilly Bay best of the rest. This looks a two-horse race on paper, and although he has to give weight away, Red Georgie has enough winning form to command the vote over his only serious rival. The Nigel Twiston-Davies inmate was a dual bumper winner last year, and gained his first victory over timber when beating Romany Prince by three lengths at Wetherby a month ago. He made all, but jumped to the right throughout, so the return to a clockwise track will help this future chaser in the making. Miko de Beauchene has been nothing if not consistent in defeat, including when second to Jair Ohmsford at Folkestone two outings ago. He has been crying out for today's trip and should once again go close, but we feel not close enough. Of the rest, Porthilly Bay is worth watching as he has scope to improve more than the rest here, but Red Georgie has the form in the book and will be hard to beat.
