TWILIGHT STAR is worth a small investment in this company; Silaah and Woodcote Place are holding their form well and can throw down the gauntlet to the selection, while the much-improved Kipchak can prove himself as the better of Connor Dore's pair of intended runners (he also sends out Count Cerpano.) Kipchak escapes a penalty for winning a claimer at Lingfield in May, but does face a much stiffer test tonight. Woodcote Place has taken a shine to racing under the floodlights at Kempton but is creeping up the ratings after a series of near misses. He is entitled to go close but appears to be handicapped to the limit just now. Silaah has won over sprint distances but has also created the impression seven furlongs suits him idealy these days. This is a good chance for him to test the theory and Ed Dunlop's gelding is one to seriously monitor in the betting. However, Twilight Star is equally unexposed at the distance and this tough-as-teak campaigner is taken to be the more effective scrapper if this boils down to a dash for the line.
