    Verdict

A competitive claimer here where TIMELORD is selected to get the better of Jehu, while Aegean Destiny and Al Khimiya can go well. In a slide rule decision, Timelord has got the vote based on the promise of his Epsom run over this trip earlier in the month, a reasonable draw, the potential for some value in his price, plus the presence of Frankie Dettori in the saddle, as no one rides this track better. Jehu has had plenty of chances and was fancied at Catterick last week, when he again ran well in defeat. He looks a leading player at these weights, but even he is worse off with the selection than if this were a handicap. Aegean Destiny will be full of confidence after wins in a Leicester seller and going close in a claimer last time, and she is not badly off at the weights with most so has a squeak. Al Khimiya is open to some improvement after just a handful of outings and was competitive enough in a Wolverhampton handicap last time to believe she can have a say here. Rainsborough goes well at this level and on this surface, so you would have to give him due respect, but Timelord can travel home in front.
