Verdict
The form shown in two starts by WAKE UP CALL earns Chris Wall's filly the nomination to break her maiden at the third time of asking, while Looby Loo and Abbashinko look the most likely improvers. The selection has finished runner-up at both Newmarket over a mile, and then Lingfield over 7f. In both of those starts she has shown enough speed to suggest that she can take on this relatively mediocre opposition over tonight's shorter trip. Looby Loo should relish this step up from the minimum trip to 6f, after running on well to be only just denied by Edith's Boy here last month. The form of that run is perhaps not as strong as those of the selection, but there looks to be plenty more for Peter Chapple-Hyam to work on and we can expect to see improvement tonight. Abbashinko is related to multiple 6f winner Abbajabba and is bred to show plenty of speed, although handicapping may well prove to be her forte and she will receive a mark after this. Nativity looks just about the best of the rest, but that isn't saying much and Wake Up Call can score.
