In depth

Verdict

Sopran Gath has run into form of late and is worth another chance in her current frame of mind; Alfie Tupper and Goochie are others to bear in mind. Irish raider Goochie has not shown much in her homeland and has improvement to find. Still, this is a weak race and, as it is not unfeasible for her to handle this surface, she is one keep close tabs on in the betting. Alfie Tupper is only 3lb higher in the weights than for last month's success at Wolverhampton and, as he is undoubtedly well treated just now, he has to be given plenty of respect. Recalcitrant and Wee Charlie Castle are others that can go well for each-way backers and are hard to totally dismiss. However, Sopran Gath gave the impression that she is worth another try over this trip when she finished a game third on her latest outing - a repeat of which would make her tough to beat in this evening's opener at Kempton.
