Verdict

Diriculous is given a speculative shout in a tricky maiden where Realt Na Mara and Compulsion appear to be the best alternatives if Terry Mills' debutante is found wanting for a lack of experience. Compulsion has been brought along steadily and will start her handicap career on a very fair mark. Pat Eddery's filly does need to start improving quickly though and she is not one to be going overboard with. Neither is Realt Na Mara, who makes her debut for Hughie Morrison tonight. She is related to couple of winners, so is no forlorn hope to get off the mark before too long. Even so, Diriculous makes more appeal at this stage. Mills has done very well with previous members of his family and this half-brother to Our Fred and OK Pal will not need to burst a gut to get off the mark at the first time of asking.
