GEORGE BAKER sets the standard in a race where we are long on numbers; City Line and Lady Lefroy number amongst the challengers. It would be remiss not to mention Richard Hannon's three-pronged attack on this contest as he has a decent record in juvenile sellers. Ragsta is the form pick but the regular stable jockeys are aboard the other runners. Ryan Moore's mount, Aegean Destiny, was well held in a Bath seller but that form has worked out quite well whereas Pat Dobbs' ride, Dream Of Gerontius, showed ability on her second outing and may respond to blinkers. Lady Lefroy showed steadily progressive form in maidens prior to disappointing in a Chester nursery; she may fare better as she drops in grade whilst Irish raider City Line may improve for encountering a firm surface for the first time. However, George Baker's runner sets the standard here and it's probably worth giving him another chance to open his account. He has been on the go since April and has run disappointingly the last twice so comes with risks attached but George Baker showed enough at the start of the season to be worth one final chance as he drops in grade.
