Verdict

Angus Newz won this last year but she'll have her work cut out to get the better of DANDY MAN and Peace Offering. It's been a long time since Dandy Man tasted success but he hasn't always enjoyed the best of luck since joining his current connections and has regularly been asked to contest the top races. In theory this represents his best chance for a long time but he hasn't won for sixteen starts and three years. Peace Offering has won more regularly and recently than that and he only has a couple of pounds to find with the Godolphin runner. He was a little disappointing last time even allowing for the trip but he has done the majority of his winning in the second half of the season and should go well back over his optimum distance. Angus Newz faces stronger competition than when successful a year ago and may have to settle for a minor role if the principals run close to their best whilst useful handicappers Canadian Danehill and Brenin Taran have plenty to find as does Zuzu who has struggled so far this year. He may not be one for the fainthearted but Dandy Man may have the last laugh.
